A 100% de-haired baby llama fingering weight yarn from Illimani, made in Bolivia. De-hairing removes the coarser guard hairs from the fleece and leaves only the incredibly fine, soft undercoat, which means what you get is all of the warmth and luxury of llama with none of the scratchiness. Llama fibre is also hollow, which makes it lighter and warmer than wool of a comparable weight. The colourways are entirely undyed and come straight from the animal, ranging from creamy whites and soft beiges through to rich browns and deep black. It is the kind of yarn that feels genuinely special in the hand and produces finished pieces with a beautiful drape and a subtle natural halo. A wonderful choice for anyone who loves natural fibres or is sensitive to wool.
