DESCRIPTION

A 50% cotton and 50% linen DK weight yarn from Danish company BC Garn, spun and dyed in Italy. The two fibres behave quite differently from one another, the linen is matte and a little rustic, the cotton has a slight sheen and more softness, and the combination gives Allino a really lively, subtly marled appearance that plain cotton or linen alone could never quite achieve. The result is a yarn with lovely drape and breathability that is genuinely comfortable to wear in warmer weather. One thing worth knowing before you cast on: Allino relaxes and loosens a little after washing, so it is worth washing your swatch before measuring your gauge to make sure your finished measurements are accurate.
