Istex Lopi Alafosslopi (also commonly found simply as Alafosslopi by Lopi) is a classic Icelandic wool yarn made from 100 % natural Icelandic sheep’s wool, known for its breathability, warmth and traditional character. The bulky, slightly rustic fibre creates cozy, insulating fabrics that are excellent for hardy outdoor garments and iconic Nordic pullovers like lopapeysas, as well as hats, scarves and heavy blankets that stand up well to cold weather. Both warm and breathable with a distinctive texture, it’s a favourite for projects with a timeless, rugged feel.
