A self-patterning 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon sock yarn from German brand Opal, with a genuinely interesting story behind it. Each colourway in the Hundertwasser collection is inspired by a specific painting or work by Friedensreich Hundertwasser, an Austrian artist and architect known for his bold, swirling use of colour and his lifelong commitment to environmental causes. The result is a yarn that feels a little more meaningful than your average sock yarn, with colourways that shift and pattern as you knit in a way that feels almost painterly. At 100g per ball there is plenty of yardage for a full pair of adult socks. A lovely thing to knit with if you appreciate art, colour, and a good story.
